Of course, it didn’t take very long for DWTS fans to weigh in on the changes. Many of them took to their Twitter accounts to write, “Can Tyra be the first one to be sent home?” along with, “The person who fired Tom Bergeron and replaced him with Tyra banks needs to be run out of town. She’s not doing a good job.”

Another fan put it this way, “The problem with Tyra Banks as the host is that you have replaced the heart of the show. Nothing against her, but it just sounds so off when you hear her voice instead of Tom Bergeron’s. In a year where people WANT the comfort of the familiar, it’s just a really poor decision.”

And while there have been a lot of Dancing With The Stars pro dancers who have left the show over the years just to come back, it looks like that won’t be the case for Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. That’s because Tyra is not only the new host of DWTS, but she’s also one of the executive producers.

So far Tyra Banks herself has not made any comments about all of the criticism she has received, but it’s doubtful that she will. But then again, the only thing she can do is work on a better second episode and hopefully for the rest of the season, too.
