Matt started off by saying, “We’ve got a big announcement. The family has been scratching our heads, we’ve been beating ourselves up, meeting after meeting talking about this COVID and the Roloff Farms pumpkin patch.”
He goes on to say, “So we have finally, finally, and I’m here to tell you, come to some definitive, conclusions about what we’re gonna do. The good news is we are gonna open!”

Matt then went on to give some parameters for how the farm would operate in the midst of the ongoing COVID concerns: “We’re gonna open for our pumpkin festival, but it’s going to look very, very different — extraordinarily different than any years past.”
That is not unusual news to hear, as businesses around the world have opened looking very different than their previous iterations. “It’s going to take place in a more intimate setting,” he explained, “although we’re going to stretch out.”
“We’re going to give everybody access to a walking trail here on the farm [for the first time] … Never let everybody kind of walk into this area of the farm. They’ve seen some of it from a distance on the wagon tours.”
It sounds like Little People Big World’s Matt and the Roloff family have thought out very carefully how they can safely open while at the same time allowing visitors the maximum bang for their buck. Visitors will have a unique experience on Roloff Farm this year

It being the month for ghosts and goblins as well as pumpkins, October has been the busiest time of year for the farm by far. Matt Roloff confirmed that visitors will need to make a reservation and this year there will be a fee.
He added, “Kids are going to love it and all of our play zone and our wagon tours are put away for the season until COVID is over.”

“This is a low-touch, highly safe way to get out, stretch your legs and get some fresh air with the family.”
The tours start October 2 with LPBW cast member Matt saying, “You can come out with your family and do the walking tour, 90 minutes to two hours,” and he assured fans that the changes are “all about keeping you safe, keeping the Roloff family safe, and our staff safe.”
He also reminded fans, “don’t come out if you’re not ready to wear a mask, even when you’re walking outside.”
