TLC 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way spoilers reveal that Jenny Slatten sacrificed her life in America to join her boyfriend Sumit in India. Both were looking forward to a life full of love and happiness but sadly that has not turned out to be the case. Not yet anyway.
Now Jenny is concerned she may have to leave India without realizing her dream of a life with Sumit. Will all of his personal drama cause the end of their relationship?
90 Day Fiancé Couple Jenny And Sumit Cannot Be Together Until His Divorce Comes Through
There is no doubt that Sumit and Jenny still wish to get married, but that is nothing more than an impossible dream as long as Sumit is still married to someone else–no one is looking to break the law!
Unfortunately the 90 Day Fiancé star fell into an arranged marriage which his parents thought would be best for him. But when he attempted to free himself, his wife’s family insisted that he must first pay them $20,000.
Money was no object for Sumit to be with the love of his life, and he and his family agreed to pay up leading to an agreement between the families for a mutual divorce—see there’s nothing that money can’t fix!
To boot, the pending criminal charges against him have been dropped but Sumit isn’t quite done coughing up the entire 20k required for his freedom.
Sumit Is Still Paying Off The Conditions Of His Divorce Settlement
But even if everything goes according to plan, will Sumit’s parents accept Jenny? She’s older than Sumit and this has been a sticking point with Sumit’s mom saying, “If she was younger, I’d have happily accepted her into my home. Forget her.”
His dad popped up, “The age of Jenny is, I think, more than double of your age. Within the Indian society, these things are not acceptable.”
Despite these objections, Sumit hasn’t given up on making his parents accept Jenny. Not only does he want them to be happy for a future life with Jenny as a daughter-in-law, he wants to prevent them objecting in court when he gets (hopefully) married.
Sumit And Jenny Are Trying Their Hardest To Make His Parents Accept Her
Sumit said in a confessional, “Once I get divorced, I don’t want them to put any kind of complication on me and Jenny’s marriage. We want to get married before her visa expires to let her stay here in India. If they’re not ready to accept Jenny, I just want to make sure they’re not going to [sic] mess with my marriage.”
Jenny is in India on a 6-month visit visa and when it expires, she’ll be forced to leave the country. Will things work out for the lovestruck couple?
