Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans got her tubes tied almost exactly two years ago. At the time, doctors also removed one ovary and some polyps. However, the remaining ovary being tied greatly removed the possibility of pregnancy. Often, doctors leave one ovary so women maintain their hormones correctly. This weekend though, when fans suspected she fell pregnant, Jenelle blamed the tube tie for her weight gain. Is she right about that?
Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans Gained Some Weight
On Easter Weekend, David Eason’s wife shared a photo of her standing with an umbrella. Actually, a lot of MTV fans thought she looked very nice. Taken at night she wore her long hair down, and a short frock under a black leather jacket. That’s when the discussion about her getting her tubes tied arose. You might recall that when her tubes were tied, Jenelle seemed fine with it. She felt happy with the kids she already produced and didn’t feel any desire for more. Actually, her many critics heaved a sigh of relief.
Notably, the Teen Mom 2 star also experienced some pain, not uncommon with polyps and cysts. Jenelle Evans’ doctors left one ovary, and that helps maintain the correct balance of hormones. Did you know that without ovaries it might bring on premature menopause? A common practice, it certainly relieves any worries about an unplanned pregnancy. And at the same time, they retain the hormonal balance that prevents menopausal complications. When people saw her post, some of them thought she might be pregnant. However, Jenelle wrote it off to weight gain and blamed the procedure for it.

MTV Star Denies Pregnancy
Some fans of Teen Mom 2 saw a bit of a tummy bulge and assumed a pregnancy for Jenelle Evans. However, she denied it vehemently. Plus she pointed out, “Lmfao I have my tubes tied y’all 🤷🏻♀️.” However, in the comments section of the post, a few fans told Jennelle that people still fall pregnant after the ligation procedure. Well, we went off and checked it out. According to Medical News Today, rarely, the”fallopian tubes [grow] back together over time.” Then, a possibility exists. Notably though, only “about one in 200 women” might fall pregnant.
Possibly, for the Teen Mom 2 star, the probability seems more remote as she only retains one ovary. Janelle Evans then explained that she believes her tummy bulge might be the result of the ligation procedure. She told her fans, “I swear that’s why I gained weight!” Well, we checked out that possibility as well. The National Library of Medicine maintains that “since tubal ligation does not affect hormones or the appetite, it does not induce weight gain.” So, that might be a bit of wishful thinking by Jenelle.
