Seeking Sister Wife spoilers and updates reveal over the weekend, the Winder family took to their social media to appreciate some of the seeking sister-wife fans, who this season have been cheering them for a job well done since it kicked off this year. However, they also found out that they had lots of critic on social media; even more, at the time when their prospective wife took heat for dressing down. This backlash came when the Winders invited their potential wife for a few days and she arrived not glammed up for the visit. Kimberley (the potential wife) reacted and explained why she didn’t dress up to visit her prospective new family.

When Kimberley Greene arrived for her visit many fans praised the Winders for their manner of approach, mostly, for how they have chosen to court their potential wife. It was reported that Sophia referred fans to their blog and there, in an old post, the Winder family explained that they intend to take in another wife slowly and with great care.

Several fans adored that the family chose to still court in a rather old-fashioned way. After all, Colton seemed different from the other polygamist on the reality show. With his family, it’s not all about just taking a new wife and getting her pregnant as soon as possible, it is much more. However, while fans praised the family for their approach to Kimberley, others slammed Kimberley as she met them wearing a casual outfit.

Kimberly Had Something to Say about the Backlash

It was quite obvious that the Winders noticed all the social media backlash. Notwithstanding, Kimberley went on social media and explained why she dressed casually. For her first statement, she addressed the hat she wore and explained that she wore it for a reason. Nevertheless, it was very personal and fans needed to respect that. In addition, she also explained that she’s a friend to the family. So, she met them the way she would normally dress if there were no cameras. Moreover, the Winder’s know exactly who she is. Unfortunately, she also described herself as not pretty and she comes from a very small rural place where there are no glam boutiques.

Fans Come Together in Defense of Kimberly and the Family Issues a Statement

When several TLC fans saw the note by Kimberley on a Seeking Sister Wife wrote, many of them switched from their negative comments and began to say nice things to her. A few of them though, wondered if she wore a cap because of a medical condition. Others believed she looked very pretty with some beautiful eyes. Nevertheless, the Winder family still took to Instagram and issued their strong statement about all the media backlash. In their defense, they said, “There was nothing wrong with what Kimberley chose to wear while coming to visit us.”

The Winder family also noted that they earlier discussed what she should wear for the meetup. Besides, Utah gets very hot in summer, and they live in a rural area. In a further statement, they revealed, “We knew about a situation that Kimberley shared with us that causes problems with her hair. We told her we wanted her to be comfortable and we were totally fine if she chose to wear a hat.”
