Bachelor in Paradise: Demi Burnett Back in Paradise, What Happened With Previous Engagement?
Bachelor in Paradise is back again for a new season and this one is largely populated with previous contestants.
Katie Thurston’s, Matt James’, Peter Weber’s, and Tayshia Adams’ seasons are providing the bulk of this season’s contestants but there will be some surprises in the mix as well.
Bachelor in Paradise: Engaged, But To Whom?
On such surprise who popped up in the second episode, was Demi Burnett.
Fans will remember Demi from Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, which was filmed before the COVID pandemic.
Fans will also recall that Burnett left that season with a ring on her finger but, who was the lucky guy – and to the point, what happened to him?
Bachelor in Paradise: Bachelor Nation’s First Same-Sex Couple
Before last season, Demi had let on that she was into women again and had been dating Kristian Haggerty who she met through another friend.
The two were not serious at the time but Kristian ended up joining Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise to continue her pursuit of Demi.
By the end of the season, and in a Bachelor Nation first, the two became the first same-sex –couple for the franchise.
Bachelor in Paradise: Return to Paradise
Demi shared an image on Instagram in November of 2019, and in the profound and somewhat sad caption she explained that the two had split, writing, “What has always been at the forefront of our relationship is love and care for one another. Our priority is doing what is best for us. With a heavy heart full of love for one another we have decided it is best for us to take a step back from our relationship. We ultimately want what is best for us in the long run and for us right now, that means being apart and growing individually.
We have felt so much love and support from you all as you’ve followed our journey together and for that we are grateful. We will forever be proud of the impact our love story has made and we hope it has helped others feel more accepted and confident within themselves. We hope it reminded others they aren’t alone and don’t need to be ashamed of who they are.
And we hope it shows that two people can love one another in different ways and for us right now that is apart. But we remain committed to encouraging each other, supporting each other and continuing forward in a way best for us.”
But now Demi has returned to the beach on Paradise and has given her date card to a man, Brendan Morais.
But, before Demi’s arrival, Brendan had been becoming quite close with Natasha Parker so we’ll have to see how that plays out.
