Some fans don’t approve of how Olivia has been handling the problems with her, Ethan, and his parents.
In a Welcome to Plathville subreddit, one commenter accused Olivia of “gaslighting” Ethan, referencing the October 5 episode of the show.
Still, another referred to her as a “control freak” and “toxic.’ It seems that some fans don’t think the marriage will work and they are blaming Olivia for it with one commenting, “I’m sure she loved him, but she married him thinking she could change him. That’s not a recipe for a successful marriage. When he didn’t change as quickly as she did, she started checking out.”

On October 8 the Welcome to Plathville star took to Instagram to address those who so vocally disapprove of her handling of her marriage captioning, “Public life can be hard. And yes I chose it.
But we can all choose something and still admit, “damn, that’s hard!” Public figures are still human beings with complex emotions and need just as much grace as the next person as they deal with real-life situations in the public eye.
Even if they chose that life. It’s often said, “everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about” … so let’s be kind.”
And finally, Olivia gets some support from someone in Ethan’s family.

In s memorable moment Ethan’s sister Moriah came onto Olivia’s Instagram post to defend her, commenting, “It’s kinda really insane to me how many people would never say something to someone’s face but they’ll say it on social media cause they can’t get punched through a phone.
Just think “do their choices effect me? No? Okay I’ll just let them do their thing then!” Lol.
“You got this and you have every right to make the choices you see best for you at the time! Love you sis!”
And Ethan also marked his approval of his wife’s post with a like. As we’ve learned previously, Ethan finally broke down and decided to move away from Cairo and sold the pair’s home, in September, for $150,000 per The Sun.
